Helpful answers for first-time and returning clients before and after their Sunset Tanning appointment.
Will my spray tan look orange?
No. Your solution is selected around your skin tone, undertones, desired depth, and development time to create balanced, natural-looking color.
How long does a spray tan last?
Most tans last about 7–10 days. Hydration, skincare, shower temperature, swimming, sweating, and exfoliation can affect longevity.
How should I prepare?
Shower, exfoliate, shave, and moisturize the day before. Arrive with clean, dry skin free from lotion, deodorant, perfume, and makeup.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, dark clothing and open footwear. Avoid tight waistbands, leggings, bras, and anything likely to rub during development.
Can I spray tan for a wedding?
Yes. A trial tan is recommended several weeks before your wedding, with the final tan generally scheduled about two days before the event.
When can I rinse?
Custom tans generally develop for 6–8 hours. Rapid tans have a personalized rinse time, usually between 2–6 hours. Follow the exact time Sarah gives you.
Why does color wash off during my first rinse?
The cosmetic bronzer rinses away during your first shower. Your DHA-developed color remains and may continue deepening for up to 24 hours.
How do I make my tan last?
Use lukewarm water, pat dry, moisturize daily, and avoid harsh scrubs, retinoids, long hot showers, chlorine, and heavy oils.
Do you offer group or mobile appointments?
Yes. Bridal parties, events, groups, and mobile appointments are offered by consultation and may require a deposit.
Is spray tanning UV protection?
No. A spray tan does not protect your skin from UV exposure. Continue using broad-spectrum sunscreen as directed.
